The I AM LIMITLESS Conference is an annual event held by the Center for Career Development. Centered on the theme of social impact, the 2025 I AM LIMITLESS Conference brought together 348 participants and 20 exciting activities across 4 different categories, helping students chart a limitless career path and empowering them to reach their fullest potential. Through these events, students are given the opportunity to connect with career coaches, industry leaders, distinguished alumni, and peers.

Three engaging discussions explore how professional development can align with meaningful contributions to society. Hearing from industry leaders and changemakers as they share insights on leveraging careers to create positive social change, students are inspired towards a more impactful future.
How to Translate Research into Social Impact 研究如何改变社会-探索学术的社会影响力
This session focused on how research can be translated into real-world social impact. Panelists, including professors and students, shared their experiences with research that not only advances knowledge but also addresses pressing societal challenges. They discussed the challenges of applying research to real-world problems, such as defining a clear research scope, navigating ethical regulations, and working with diverse populations. They also highlighted the value of using academic research to address social issues and the importance of collaboration between students, professors, and communities to create positive change.
Shaping Equity and Diversity with Organization Strategy 运用组织战略促进公平与多元化
This event, co-hosted by NYU Shanghai and Covestro, invited industry leaders to share bold insights on leadership and diversity into action. Christian Baier, CFO of Covestro and alumnus of NYU Stern School of Business, emphasized that leadership is not a title, it’s a mindset. Hua Jiang, Chief Communications Officer at NYU Shanghai, shared her career journey and her perspective of women leadership. Xiuling Guo, founder of Sandriver, redefined the meaning of Chinese craftsmanship and showed women entrepreneurship. Their stories of global vision, bold action, and cultural pride sparked meaningful dialogue with students, empowering them to lead with purpose in a more inclusive, equitable future.
Stories from the Field 聆听改变世界的故事
This event brought together professionals from diverse fields to share stories that highlighted the intersection of career paths and social impact. Speakers reflected on their experiences in education, community service, and tech innovation—ranging from teaching in rural and urban settings to working with migrant schools and inclusive design for accessibility. Through photos, field anecdotes, and personal reflections, speakers highlighted how frontline teaching, whether in urban migrant schools or rural villages, extends far beyond academics—addressing students’ emotional needs, family dynamics, and broader community impact. The event encouraged cross-disciplinary thinking and inspired deeper reflection on social responsibility and career choices.

Peer Perspectives: Exploring Diverse Career Paths 朋辈视角：探索多样未来
This engaging session invited five Career Peer Advisors (CPAs) from different career fields--Tanruizhi Liu (Consulting & Marketing), Rhan Xin (Social Science), Gwyneth Isman (Finance), Ziyun Xu (Technology), and Florence Zhang (Non-Profit & Research Institutions). Guiding the conversation, Rhan Xin posed three reflective and thought-provoking questions to the panelists. Through their candid responses, each panelist shared everything from first steps into their industries to bold, unconventional choices that shaped their futures. Their stories encouraged attendees to remain open-minded and empowered in their own career exploration.

Introduction to Investment Banking in China 中国式投行零距离
Andrew Hua, who had 7+ years of IB experience before joining CCD, shared his insights into the investment banking industry in China with 10+ students. Three major topics were covered during this session, including an introduction to what investment banking is and the market landscape, an introduction to the A-Share IPO process, and a combo of useful information and tips for students who consider investment banking as one of their future career options. This session helped students form a basic understanding of the industry, encouraged them to think about whether it fits their personalities and capabilities, and provided guidance on how to get ready for the career at an early stage.
Driving Social Impact for Community Transformation: A Visit to Dongming 新生力量探东明 不只是行走的看客，更是改变的力量
20+ NYU Shanghai students visited Jumingxin Jumingxin Block Development Center to experience firsthand how social initiatives can transform neighborhoods into thriving hubs of culture and innovation. Mr. Lu shared insights into Jumingxin’s evolution, showcasing initiatives like children’s care camps, and art festivals. Students then embarked on an immersive city walk, weaving through bustling markets, admiring colorful alley murals, and exploring local food stalls and bakeries. Through these interactions, they gained a deeper understanding of how interdisciplinary collaboration and social entrepreneurship drive sustainable urban development.
Inspiring Young Future Elites: A Case Study of Hilton Honors Program 激励年轻未来精英：希尔顿荣誉客会案例分享
Students in NYU Shanghai gathered for an insightful session featuring Jimmy Pu, Director of Loyalty Programs at Hilton Greater China & Mongolia. Jimmy shared his expertise on career opportunities in the hotel industry, the impact of loyalty programs, and the strategies behind Hilton Honors’ success. Moderated by Jasmin Gao, Recruitment Manager at Hilton, the event included an engaging Q&A session, where students connected with Hilton professionals and gained valuable industry insights. Attendees left with a deeper understanding of hospitality careers and loyalty marketing, inspired to explore future opportunities in the field.

A vibrant evening filled with inspiration and collaboration, NYU Shanghai and S-Tron China came together to host Frontline Dialogue: Innovation × Entrepreneurship × Investment Frontline Dialogue. On behalf of NYU Shanghai and S-Tron China, David and Sean signed the university-enterprise cooperation agreement, symbolizing a shared commitment to fostering technological innovation, talent development, and international collaboration. Then, followed by three thought-provoking Keynote Sharing from distinguished industry leaders: Stanley Lau, Jie Zhang, and Oscar Ramos. The event concluded with a Q&A and Networking session, where students and industry leaders connected and shared ideas, allowing participants to forge meaningful connections with like-minded professionals, further enriching the collaborative spirit of this dialogue.

The 2025 Spring Career Fair features over 60 companies offering more than 300 high-quality internships and full-time opportunities. Notably, over 60% of the participating companies were actively seeking international talent. This event provided a valuable platform for students to connect with potential employers and explore diverse career paths.
